Finally putting all of the Christmas decorations away today.
It's late for me, I usually like to get them down a few days after Christmas.
I've been a little preoccupied since Christmas working on some things for BasicGrey for CHA later this month - lots of FUN things....
So, no time until this afternoon to really tackle putting away Christmas.
As part of the putting away, I spent 5 minutes - literally 5 minutes - putting this little book together for the photo Christmas cards we received this year.
I posted here about a similar book I put together last week.
I found the book at a secondhand store on Friday. I usually make it there once every other month. And when I go, you'll find me in the hardcover book section. I'm sure people wonder what in the heck I'm doing as I'm browsing the hardback book section and pulling off all the paper jackets to see what the book covers look like underneath...
Not that I care what they think. After all, if you frequent any secondhand stores on a regular basis, I'm sure you'll agree with me that a middle aged blond peeking at book covers is one of the less strange things you've seen while you've been there... ;)
So, back to the book - this one was perfect - it already had the white holly/ivy debossed on the cover. Incidentally, that's what I'm doing when I'm pulling off the paper jackets - looking for cool covers.
I used a box cutter to cut the front and back covers from the spine/pages, punched holes in the covers, punched holes in the cards and voila! I added the date and alpha stickers and called it good.
Quick and easy!
Now, excuse me while I get back to putting Christmas away before Nick decides we don't need half of the stuff I'm putting away...
Happy New Year!
