Howdy friends! We're hunkering down here in Utah, preparing for what's rumored to be a HUGE blizzard this afternoon. Nothing like a white Christmas Thanksgiving I always say. ;)
And hey, Thursday morning you'll find Nick and I at the starting line of a 5k race at 8:30 a.m. in 15 degree weather - that's Farenheit friends - and apparently a huge amount of snow! No need to fear, the weather forecast says partly sunny, so at least we have that going for us...
Wanted to share a quick post about a fabulous Ella Publishing e-book I had the pleasure of participating in a few months ago -
Here's a little diddy about the book -
Journaling that Matters is packed with 51 easy tips to help you write from the heart without breaking a sweat. You'll love the expert advice, inspirational layouts, practical tips, and timeless suggestions that are suitable for writers of all levels—from the most experienced journalers to the most insecure. Kelly, Angie, and their eight talented contributors will help you unlock important stories and tell them with confidence. Also featuring the work of: Linda Barber, Moon Ko, Donna Jannuzzi, Layle Koncar, Audrey Neal, Keshet Shenkar, Wendy Smedley, and Stephanie Wheeler.
I'm a big proponent of journaling. Have been for a long time. But not the preachy type - I figure 'to each his her own'. If journaling isn't your thing, no biggie. BUT, if you've struggled with journaling or even if you're like me and a HUGE fan of journaling, this book is worth checking out.
One of the coolest things about the book is the journaling prompts - great ideas to jump-start your journaling. No one ever said your journaling has to be a long, drawn out essay. There are quite a few layouts in the book where the journaling is short and sweet. And tells a story. And that's all journaling is - telling a story.
WIth that said, who's interested in a giveaway?!
The fine folks at Ella Publishing have graciously offered me 2 downloadable copies of the book to share with you guys. So here goes - leave me a comment by midnight, Thursday November 25th and tell me what you're grateful for. I'll pick 2 random winners on Friday afternoon, November 26th.
Me? I'm grateful for a partly sunny forecast for what's scheduled to be a super duper chilly Thanksgiving morning race. And for a fantastic husband that's willing to run it with me. And if you ask me a little after 9 am that same day, I bet I'll say heated seats in the car.... (pictures and more to come Thursday afternoon - yes, I will be running with a little camera!)
