You may know it. Yep, the 2 plastic orbs with a string in the middle. The one that's often associated with the dreaded scale. A few pounds up, a few pounds down. A few more pounds up, a few less pounds down.
It's been something I've dealt with my whole life. The damn proverbial yo-yo. Up. Down. Up. Down.
So here I am again. On the way down and off to a good start. 13 lbs to be exact, since the end of June when I started going back to Weight Watchers again. And yes, I do realize I said 'back'. This is go round #3 at WW for me over the last 13 years. And it works every time. Works fabulously. I know it like the back of my hand. Can do it in my sleep. I know how to eat, what it takes to lose, how to maintain, yada, yada, yada. So why is this #3? And why is it that if I know it like the back of my hand and KNOW HOW TO MAINTAIN that I don't? That my friends is the $64,000 question.
13 down, 20 more to go.
Signed up for a little motivation last night here. The Biggest Loser: Race to a Waist. Something my friend Jessi and her niece decided to start after her niece won the last round she participated in. You can read more about it on Jessi's blog here.
I've convinced a couple of friends to join me in the challenge. Anyone interested in playing? I think you can still sign up. The more the merrier I say! Besides who doesn't want to get rid of that damn yo-yo?
By the way, what is with that woman's sticks legs in the stock photo? Who has legs like that? I'm thinking she is one of the 3 people on earth that look good in skinny jeans. Good thing those are going out of style again. That is one trend I managed to avert this go round. I'm thinking that with those legs, her yo-yo is always in the down position. Someone get that woman a can of Ensure, STAT.
