(Dear Typepad -
Please figure out a way to remove those annoying, random question marks that you've decided to haphazardly throw into my post, despite the last 10 minutes I've spent UNSUCCESSFULLY trying to remove them.
Yours Truly,
A dedicated frustrated Typepad Blogger)
Whew! Today was day 1 in the 5 day whirlwhind adventure headed my way this week!
We hosted about 150 scrappers today at the warehouse for Lisa Bearnson's adventure. What a rush! We've been in our warehouse now for a year and a few months and this is the first time we've done anything like this. After today I can tell you that we're looking forward to seeing more of you in the warehouse in the future!
We had 3 groups of about 50 scrappers each throughout the day. We split the groups into 3 rotations - shoppers, make and takers, and tourers (yah, you won't find that word in Webster's dictionary. But hey, does anyone look in an actual dictionary these days? I'm more of a www.dictionary.com fan myself. Regardless, I'm pretty certain you won't find that there either...)
In the last group of the day, 2 women commented about how we seemed to always have smiles on our faces and how did we keep it up all day. The truth? It was easy! Sarah told one of them that we spend most of our time behind computers all day, so how could it not be fun to be spending time with a bunch of scrappers on our home turf for a day!
Here are some pics of the day -
The make and take in the morning before the rush. We held the make and take in our packaging area of the warehouse where all of our products are packaged.
And the make and take during one of the rotations. A big shout out to my friend Sande (now why I don't have a picture of the two of us together today is beyond me!) who gave up her day to come and do the make and takes for us. We couldn't have done it without her! Thanks so much, Sande!
A peek at part of the warehouse
A pre-shopping photo before the crowds in my office upstairs
And a blurry, frenzied photo of the shopping taking place.
WHEW! What a day! We had a blast. I know a few of you guys that came today are lurkers, thanks for coming, we hope you enjoyed yourselves!
Readying myself for day 2 - the big warehouse sale tomorrow and the Meet and Mingle tomorrow night at CKU Provo. Stay tuned tomorrow night for pics of day 2!
