School started today for the boys. Not quite sure where the summer went. Anyone with me on that?! Seems like they were just getting out of school yesterday & now they're back in.
A little odd, their school. I can't even pretend to understand how they came up with the schedule this week. No school yesterday, out at 1:20 today, 1:20 tomorrow, full day on Thursday and out on 1:20 Friday. Seems like it would be so much easier to just have them jump in with both feet.
The boys were so excited this morning, they both jumped right out of bed and were running around until it was time to leave. Wish there was a way to bottle that and bring it back out in oh say, 4 months when it's really cold and really dark outside and they want nothing to do with getting up for school.
Took the requisite first day of school photos this morning bright and early. This was one of my favorites, the 2 of them goofing around. Much easier to get the goofy photos these days than it is the posed ones.
What is it with kids and their pasted on smiles when it comes down to photo time? It's starting to hit Sam now, the cheesy grin. Hit Jack a few years ago right around the same time.
Must be genetic. Because there's no telling how many pics are out there of me with the cheesy grin. And I'm not talking just in grade school, either...
