A month or so ago I was asked by Kristine at Creative Scrappers to be their guest designer. Sure, why not! I'd love to!
Each week they feature a sketch created for the site. They select a guest designer to work with the sketch and their design team also works with the sketch.
And the layout I created based on the sketch using products from our new Sonoma line, with a little Laurel and Grafton mixed in -
This was a fun one for me. I generally don't work with sketches, but the sketch concept was fun - a blueprint to start with vs. starting out of the blue. I like that!! Really neat to see a bunch of different scrapbookers takes on the same sketch, too.
I generally don't work with circles either. I think I'm more of a linear person. Or not. But not too many circles for me. A few years ago I picked up some cork circles at Home Depot that you use for putting a plant on the floor to protect the floor. They looked like great, sturdy circle templates to me when I bought them. They went home with me, got shoved somewhere in my scrapbook room until last week when I sat down to do this layout and needed to make some circles. Pulled those puppies out and put them to good use. YES. After 2 years, finally put them to use.
And yes, I know there are LOTS of you out there like me with supplies sitting there for quite a while, just begging to be put to use.
I also answered some fun questions in their Forum if you want to check it out. The best question Kristine asked? 'Why are we still making our die cut arrows'. Seems to be quite a few people out there asking that. Interested in the answer? Bop over there and check it out - you do need to register to enter the forum, but it's quick and painless!
