I had my sister draw the name of the lucky winner and it's Dionne Blodgett!
Congrats Dionne - you have email.
Thanks everyone for playing. I'll be doing a few more RAKs as CHA Winter gets closer with fun stuff from our 2 new lines!
Winding down our Christmas Eve. We have quite a few traditions on Christmas Eve in our little family. We made sugar & gingerbread cookies this afternoon for Santa and the kids wrote notes to leave Santa with the cookies. I have a special box that I keep all of the letters and notes to Santa. I can't wait until they're older and we can look through them together.
We returned home from Nick's Aunt's house a bit ago. She has a Christmas Eve party every year and his whole side of the family comes. Had to be about 50 people there. Santa makes an appearance and hands out gifts for all of the littles. It is a madhouse!
We hurried home and prepared Santa's plate - cookies, milk, and carrots and magic food for the reindeer. We then each opened one present - always new pajamas. The kids always want to pick the present to open, I always overrule and SURPRISE - always new pajamas. Funny how they forget this tradition from year to year! We then jumped in bed and read The Night Before Christmas and The Polar Express.
The kids are now nestled all snug in their beds and we're waiting a bit to play Santa to ensure they are sound asleep. We had a close call with that one last year, too close for comfort! Tomorrow is sure to be a crazy day. We'll do presents at the crack of dawn when the kids wake up, followed by breakfast at Nick's brother's house and then dinner for 18 back at our house.
We've been having Christmas dinner at our house for the last 4 or 5 years. Nick makes a HUGE prime rib, decadent, sinful, FAT-FILLED roasted garlic mashed potatoes with loads of garlic, butter and cream cheese - so yummy! This year we decided to also do a turkey with all of the trimmings. We learned the hard way a few years ago that it's best to do as much pre-work before the big day as possible. The pies are made, the prime rib is marinating and the tables are set.
Hoping to catch a nap between all of the festivities tomorrow...
Merry Christmas everyone!
