YAY! Christmas decorations are up. Well, all but the Christmas tree, but that will have to wait until later this week :)
I LOVE that POW gold glitter paper from American Crafts. LOVE! I used it here in my December Daily album last year with a Silhouette cut file and couldn't resist pulling it out again this year. I used the Deck The Halls cut file from this Kerri Bradford kit. This paper cuts SO WELL on the Silhouette - like butter. There's something about how they manufacture it - the sparkle doesn't rub off the paper like regular glitter does, and that's a good thing!
I decided to change things up a bit this year when it comes to including photos of our Christmas decorations in my December Daily. Rather than including a bunch of photos on a spread that crosses multiple pages, I included 7 different sized photos in a glassine bag.
The deer is a piece of adhesive chipboard that holds the bag shut - I removed the backing off of only the right/front half of the deer and stuck that front to the bag, so you can lift his hind legs to open the envelope and pull out the photos :)
I used one larger photo on the next page with a close up of a green vintage toy truck and a bottle brush Christmas tree that sits on a photo ledge in our entry way.
Below that I wrote about how much I love decorating for Christmas and that this year I started a weeeee bit early - ssshhh, it was the week BEFORE Thanksgiving!
Heads up - you'll be seeing LOTS of washi tape throughout my December Daily this year. I used it on my inside cover and 1,2,3 times on day 2! Just picked up 4 more rolls at a little Christmas boutique that are perfect for December Daily.... :)
