Nothing like December to dust off the ole blog here and start posting on a regular basis again! And when I say regular basis, I mean daily.... As with the past few years, I'll be posting my December Daily pages each day throughout the month of December.
Love this time of year. Love the holidays, Christmas, the snow (ok, not really - but it sounded good, the snow part...) and December Daily. Thanks once again Ali for this great concept! This will be my 6th year putting together a December Daily album. Here are links to the past years if you want to take a peek at what my other books look like -
With that said, here goes 2013 with the cover -
I'm using a Simple Stories 6x8 SN@P! Binder again this year. I used the teal one last year and loved all of the options with the 6x8 size, the different pocket page designs, the chipboard tab dividers and the color coordinating pages with the spine. So yep, it's a SN@P! Binder for me again!
On a complete and total fluke I found the wood 'MERRY' at Michaels a few months back. I had seen someone use it on Pinterest on her December Daily album last year and loved it. It's the perfect length for the cover.
I added a piece of Teresa Collins' Snowflakes paper from her Santa's List collection - gotta love those red glitter snowflakes. I added 3 little Studio Calico wood veneer stars and called it good!
For the inside cover, I added a December calendar created by Marie Lottermoser -
If you're not familar with Marie's work, you are in for a treat! I 'met' her a few years ago after seeing her incredible December Daily album. I've followed her every day during December since then to see her December Daily pages. You can check out her blog here and download the cute calendar she created here. Prepare to be awed - her pages are truly a work of art!
I used my old typewriter to write an intro on the MEMO card, then added my handwriting, the large rhinestone by Glitz Design with the car carrying the Christmas tree (LOVE IT!!), a wood veneer arrow, some washi tape and a metal reflective mailbox letter with our initial from Home Depot.
So there you have it - my December Daily cover!
WHEEEEE - here we go! Can't believe December is here already. Looking forward to getting this project going. Can't believe this is my 6th year!
If you're doing a December Daily this year, leave a link to your blog or Flicker in the comments - I'd love to see and follow along!
