Howdy friends!
I have some fun news to share - last summer I was invited to have my creative space photographed for the Creating Keepsakes' Creative Spaces Vol. 2 issue.
What a fun experience to go through - sending the editors shots of what I thought might interest readers, having the art director and the photographer come into my home for the shoot, seeing my room through their eyes, etc. It really was a neat experience.
OK, the not so fun part - cleaning, purging, scrubbing the walls and the floors, etc to GET READY for the photo shoot. But once that was over, it was great!
Here's a peek at the issue. It hit stores earlier this week on the 8th, so if you're looking for some inspiration on how to design/organize/reorganize your space or just plain ole inspiration, check it out!
By the way, if you're really inspired and want to see more creative spaces, you can still pick up Vol. 1 here.
Now for the fun - if you want to see my space and those of some other amazingly talented women (and a few men!) featured in the issue, Creating Keepsakes has graciously offered a copy of Creative Spaces Vol. 2 to one of my readers! To enter, leave a comment on this post by end of day Wednesday, January 17th about your creative space - the one you have (even if it's your dining room table or even the floor, it's STILL a creative space!) , the one you dream of, etc. I'll draw one randomn lucky winner and announce it here on the 18th.
Bonus - there are lots of opportunities to win this issue, just check out the Creating Keepsakes Blog for more details!
Good Luck!
Truth be told, I'm a serial organizer. Seriously serial. At least when it comes to my creative stuff. I'm constantly on the lookout for fun, new unique, mostly vintage finds for storage. Here's one of my favorite finds - an old, sturdy, metal, mint green gumball machine that I use to store all of my white vintage buttons -
Here's a hint if you're looking for cool storage stuff - sometimes you have to look 'beneath' the surface. This is what it looked like when I brought it home!
One last thing if you're STILL reading - thought I'd get real for a sec. Just between you and me, when you look at the pics in the mag, keep in mind they're what I like to call 'glamour shots'. You know what I mean when I say that, right?
;)
There's what you see in the magazine, and THEN there's what you see in the real world. Take for example the way my space looked like IN USE last month..... YIKES!
