Howdy! If you're joining me from Mae Armstrong's blog for the BasicGrey and PSA Essentials blog hop - welcome! If you didn't come from Mae's blog but still want to play along, hop on over to the BasicGrey blog to get started!
This month I had the pleasure of playing not only with BasicGrey goodies, but stamps from PSA Essentials as well. If you haven't been introduced to PSA Essentials before now, you're in for a treat! I bought my first stamp from them a few years ago - a great reinking return address stamp - and boy have I gotten my money's worth out of that puppy!
They've come up with one of the most innovative things I think I've seen in a long time, especially if you're a stamper - Peel & Stick Packs.
Here's the Peel & Stick stamp set I worked with.
The sets come with an outer ring stamp and center stamps. In this set, the outer ring is the ivy circle. The centers are all of the other designs you see. You use the stamps with a handy dandy stamper/self-inker. You can use the outer ring and centers together, the outer ring by itself or the centers by themselves. Genius! I know, right?!
These stamps were begging to be used on an Easter layout, so I paired several of them with BasicGrey's PB&J line
(one of my all time favorite BasicGrey lines - love the name, the colors, the patterns, you name it!) and this is what I came up with -
Super easy layout. I stamped several of the designs on papers from PB&J and then used a scallop circle punch to punch them out. Used a regular circle punch on the non stamped papers and photos, added chipboard circles underneath the photos to give them a little extra dimension, a few BasicGrey flowers, a little mist (of course!) and voila!
What?! No pink, mint, & lavendar in my Easter layout? Nope! You know me (well, if you're new to my blog, then maybe you don't know me!) - with an all male household (including our cats!), those colors rarely, if EVER make an appearance in my scrapbook pages. Not even for Easter. So for me, PB&J was the perfect balance of floral for Easter combined with the primary colors, polka dots and chevrons (LOVE) for the boys. Then the PSA Essentials stamps pulled it all together with the Easter theme.
So, there you have it! A great combination.
Now, I can't go on and on about BasicGrey and these great PSA Essentials stamps without sharing now, can I?!
