He's 14 today -
Hard to believe it's been 14 years.
Hard to believe I have a 14 year old.
Hard to believe he's 6 foot 2. And a teenager.
You know how I know we have a teenager?
We waited to decorate his door (the birthday door tradition at our house) this morning at 8 while he was still sleeping and we were awake. That's opposed to last night after he went to bed and we were LONG asleep. If we waited to do it last night until after he was asleep, we would have been up past midnight.
He was.
We weren't.
And that's how I know we have a teenager. We're in bed far earlier than he is on the weekends...Even if he is just up playing Xbox...
Another way I know he's 14 -
The utter goofiness when it comes to picture taking...
So today he's doing what he wants to do. Including cake for breakfast. And a day of 'Birthday Says'. And a day of putting together his birthday present -
Building the 1,332 piece Lego Volkswagen bus that he asked for for his birthday.
I love it that he's 14 and he still loves to play with Legos!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY, I LOVE YOU!
And speaking of birthdays, a big shout out to my mom who's also celebrating her birthday today! Happy Birthday mom!
