Well hello!
Happy 4th to my US friends!
Thoroughly enjoying a long holiday weekend spending time with family and friends, a few parties, some running (yea, no knee pain, FINALLY after 5 months!!), working on some assignments for Creating Keepsakes and Paper Crafts and working in a little crafty goodness :)
Here's a few projects I've had on my 'to do' list for the last month, finally crossed them off the list this weekend!
These are the brainchild of my good friend, Karen. Super easy. Drill a small (ok, tiny!) hole in the top of a Scrabble letter with a small drill or dremel. Screw a small eye hook in the hole, thread with a ball chain and voila! Personalized wine charms. Made these on Saturday and used them that night for a neighborhood party. So fun!
Vintage Chalkboard Trays
Literally a 5 minute project! I saw this idea last month when I went to the Farm Chicks Antique Show in Spokane with my friend Sande (definitely need to do a blog post about that amazing adventure!). Snapped a pic while I was there so I'd remember to make it, came home and finally made them this weekend. I picked up the metal trays at Desert Industries (our local thrift spot) for between $1 and $2 each. Came home, cleaned them and after 5 minutes, another quick voila!
So yah, checked 2 things off of my 'to do' list this weekend. Unfortunately, I added about 50 more things after signing up for and starting to play with Pinterest today. Oh hello Pinterest, how have I stayed away from you for so long?! Love it!
