A year ago today, I set out for a walk. And ended up running home.
Since that day a year ago, I've run 8 races, gone through 3 pairs of running shoes, had 2 knee injuries, logged 193 workouts, made 3 visits to the physical therapist, run 635 miles, burned 27 pounds, made it .03 times around the world, and burned enough calories for 513.72 donuts.
By far the longest time I have ever kept up an exercise routine.
Even with my current knee injury, still at it.
And still loving it!
Well shut the front door!
It's been 100+ days since I last posted.
Yes, I'm still alive and kicking. Well, kicking with one leg, maybe. I've had more frustrating knee problems - this time patellar tendinitis. It's thrown quite a wrench in my running, but I'm doing my very best to stay positive :)
I could give lots of excuses as to why I haven't posted, but why bore you with that?!
I wanted to share a fun layout I recently did as a guest designer for a fun little site - Colorful Creations, based on this sketch.
In February we took the boys to Cancun for their winter break. We had a fantastic time, just what we needed that time of year to get away from the dreary, cold, winter of Utah. We happened upon this amazing little island about a 30 minute boat ride away off the coast of Cancun called Isla Mujeres. Such a tiny little thing - about a half mile wide and 4 miles long. The most quiet, peaceful, gorgeous little oasis.
The water in the photo on my layout - completely untouched by Photoshop - it was that actual color!!
Since I haven't posted any pics of the boys in a while, thought I'd share these from our trip -
Can you believe my 13 year old is just shy of 6 feet tall?!
And no, I haven't cut my hair - people always ask. That's vacation hair. My hair and humidity absolutely DO NOT mix. So, pony tails and hats are my hairdo of choice necessity on vacation.... ;)
