Yesterday we took the boys skiing up at Alta. It's in our backyard. Seriously. About 10 minutes up the canyon from our house and we have the good fortune of experiencing such a beautiful, serene place.
When we went to pick up our passes, I noticed this fun, large (5.5x8.5"), free (always a good thing!) postcard. Would you believe I tucked it in my jacket and skiied with it all afternoon without wrinkling it?! I thought it would make a great addition to this year's December Daily.
I pulled out a few things from my stash (translation - big pile of old stuff) this morning and set them aside to use throughout the month. The first to be used? Heidi Swapp Clear Snowflakes Ghost Shapes. I layered 3 different sizes on top of each other and then adhered it to the photo with a glue dot. Remember those?! Copyright on the back of the package says 2005! I knew I'd put them to good use one day.
That reminds me. I need to go show this page and this package to Nick and prove that there's a reason why I tend to hang on to things for so long. And then he'll want to see my stash. And see what else I'm holding onto for a rainy day. And then... Hmmmm, on second thought, maybe I'd better keep this one to myself...
Pics from our day (if you click on the images you can get a better peek).
Never mind that in the one where we're all together we're staring straight into the sun, squinting.
And never mind that in the one on the top right you pretty much only see silhouettes of Nick, Jack and Sam.
And oh yah, never mind that in the one on the bottom right they pretty much blend right into the trees, with the exception of the little tiny pink spots on their faces if you look realllllly close....
;)
