Here's a shot of the finished book. It's 8x8x2 (with some stuff sticking out from the top; not necessarily planned, but it was too hard to do anything about it after all was said and done so that's the way it is....).
The back cover has some bulk to it, I added a metal snowflake ornament I picked up a few years ago that's been floating around in my December Daily 'stuff to use' container from last year.
Table of Contents
I used a few different pieces from the Little Yellow Bicycle 25 Days of Christmas Journal Tablet. I thought this one would make a fun 'Table of Contents' at the beginning of the book, so I added that a few days ago.
I clipped this from a magazine last December and have had it hanging on my inspiration board ever since so I would remember to use it on the 24th in this year's book. The 24 cent sign is a vintage cardboard price label that I picked up this year during my travels.
For the last 15 years, we've gone to one of Nick's Aunts' houses on Christmas Eve for appetizers and Santa. The boys figured out a few years ago that it wasn't really Santa, just one of Nick's uncles or cousins dressed up. We had them convinced that the real Santa couldn't possibly be there because he was out delivering presents. I have a sneaky feeling that this was the last year Sam is going to buy that...
Christmas is always crazy, crazy, CRAZY at our house. Sam is the early-bird. We convinced him to wait until 6:30 am to wake us up this year. We open presents with the boys and then quickly get ready and head to Christmas Brunch and more presents with Nick's family. After that, Nick and I rush home to get the house picked up after the whirlwind of opening presents, get the tables 'dressed' and the food cooked for our annual Christmas Dinner at 6:30. We had 24 this year. Always a lot of fun. Always exhausted at the end of the night!
Inside Back Cover
And last but not least, the inside back cover.
PHEW! Super happy to have this done and put out with the rest of the mini books. Everything is put away in the 'stuff to use' container for next year so I'll be ready to start again. Hopefully, ready to getting it put together in November this time, and not on the 4th of December.
Now, time to start collecting stuff for 2010's December Daily...
