You would think I went surfing while I was in California based on that title, no?
No. I was landlocked. No ocean in sight. And apparently my brain was locked as well while I was there. I took lots of photos, lots. I was all prepared to write about my trip tonight, but when I went to add photos I discovered that they're not on my camera. I was at my Dad's and copied the photos to his hard drive for him, or so I thought. Looks like I MOVED all but a few of them instead. DUH. You'd never guess I was in the IT field for 8 years...
Still wondering how the surfing title fits in? It does, I promise.
Ties in with our Grafton line, specifically these 2 papers. I've heard quite a few people say "I don't know how I'd use this paper, I'm in a landlocked state OR we don't go to the beach OR no one in our family surfs OR, OR, OR..."
I made this card back in March to take with me to a few events to show people how to use those papers for something other than surfing/beach pics.
I cut the surfboards out of the paper and created flower petals. Easy!
Now you can say you're a surfer, even if you use your board for something OTHER than surfing!
Wanted to mention a few things coming up -
This Saturday, May 3rd is National Scrapbook Day, but you probably already knew that, right? If not, you do now because I just told you :) I'll be hosting a chat on Saturday morning at 9 am MT at www.twopeasinabucket.com as well as offer a FREE online class there including a PDF download with detailed instructions and photos (time is tentative, check back here on Friday night to confirm).
Scenic Route will be at CKU Provo this August! I'll be teaching a class to all students and participating in Wednesday night's Meet and Mingle. Registration for CKU Provo began today - make sure to check it out!
Stay tuned for Friday's post - I'll be sharing pics of the products in our new Liberty mini line and doing some fun giveaways through the weekend to celebrate National Scrapbook Day. A few lucky winners will win the entire Liberty line!
